MRM//McCann MENAT have announced the appointment of Oliver West as Customer Experience Director for the region. Oliver will lead MRM//McCann’s customer experience, UI/UX and experience design functions. Oliver comes from MRM London,  and is one of the most experienced experience directors across the MRM//McCann network.

In his own words: I was born and bred in the seaside town of Brighton, 100kms from London.  Along with my wife and daughter, we have come to Dubai for an adventure, hoping to see much of the wonderful destinations the Middle East has to offer.  Having been with MRM for a few years already in London this seemed like a great opportunity to stay within the family and experience the region at the same time.  Keen lover of food, travel and extreme sports so don’t be shy of any recommendations, especially those that tick all 3 boxes!

Having started my digital career 20 years ago with Goldman Sachs in London and then Sydney, I have since run my own digital experience agency for 8 years before moving into the bigger playground of global agencies working on some of the biggest brands and companies in the world.

More recently my 5 years with MRM in London as Head of UX and then Experience Design I have managed a team of talented individuals helping improve the experiences of customers for brands such as Coke, Nestle, GM, Microsoft, Xbox. During that time I have managed experience projects across all sectors from banking to automotive to petrochemicals and have run many workshops throughout Europe, North America, Asia and even KSA.
