Dubai Music Week is the region’s first music industry tradeshow and festival, targeting music fans and industry professionals for the first time in the region. It featured headline DJ performances from Grammy award-winning international artists including Timbaland and will.i.am. The event is a joint venture between Jones’ Global Gumbo Group and DXB Live, in association with Dubai Calendar.

“Dubai Music Week is a new concept to the region and aims to bring talent, management and technology together, furthering the potential in the region and providing a platform for the growth of the industry,” said Quincy Jones on the tradeshow’s conception. “Not only is there an opportunity to network and learn from key international and regional music industry leaders and brands, there is also a platform to enjoy the industry we work in through performances by The headline acts and talent from the region and Bollywood.”

Lowe Middle East & North Africa was tasked with the creation of the Dubai Music Week positioning and identity with the aim of establishing it as the leading trade and consumer music event in the Middle East, and the definitive platform to strengthen the music industry.  “The DMW logo was inspired by our strategic platform that defined why we existed: The Worlds’s Beats Become Popular Rhythms For All and influenced the art direction that is reflective of the vibrancy, colorfulness and fluid nature of music.  The response and the impact that was generated by the work has been overwhelming” said Joseph Makhoul, General Manager at Lowe Mena.
