Harris Diamond, Chairman & CEO of McCann Worldgroup visited the offices of MCN – the Middle East Communications Network – in Dubai, on September 22nd and 23rd. He held multiple meetings with agency heads over the two-day visit and met with members of the MCN Board.
Addressing all MCN staff at a gathering in the lobby of MCN Hive he shared insights on global trends and his views on the advertising scenario in the Middle East. Harris mentioned that McCann were really strong in Latin America and Asia, and felt that the Middle East agencies were really featuring on top of some of his star lists. “You are doing a really good job” he told the MCN audience. The challenges faced in the industry according to him were the results of changes in the geo-socio-political environments (particularly in this region), economic pressures and changes and the changes in technology and consumer behavior.
